About Me

Mary Pearson is a photographer and Doctoral Researcher currently researching the interconnections between lines, borders, memory and place.

I am conducting research in Iceland and Greenland with an interest in anthropological aspects of cultural identity and the human notions of living in remote and often challenging landscapes. I also have a profound interest in people who live with the daily threat of volcanic eruptions.

I am lecturer in photography and fine art.
