About Me
Mary Pearson is a researcher and photographer with a PhD from the University of Plymouth. My research interests are within the interconnections between lines, borders, memory, and place.
My thesis title is:
Echoes of Time: an exploration of photography, land, and memories
I am conducting research in Iceland and Greenland with an interest in anthropological aspects of cultural identity and the human notions of living in remote and often challenging landscapes. I also have a profound interest in people who live with the daily threat of volcanic eruptions.
I am lecturer in photography and fine art.
